ST. BONIFACE AND SEINE WALK
Join Out There this Saturday, May 17th as we take a walk along our wonder river waterways, through historic St. Boniface and take a pit stop for ice cream.
MEETING INFO: We will be meeting at the west side (Fork's side) of the Esplanade Riel starting at 1:45pm, with a planned departure of 2pm.
PLANNED ROUTE: We will access the Red River trail way by crossing the Esplanade and travelling North. We will connect with the Seine River and follow that up to the Dairy Queen on Provencher. After this pit stop we will continue up the Seine before reconnecting with the streets winding up to St. Boniface College and Cathedral. The walk will conclude by crossing the Esplanade back to the Forks. Expect a walk between 5 and 6km taking around 2 hours (dependent on how long we stop for ice cream).
PARKING: There is paid parking at the Forks. With some effort, free parking CAN be found.
BUS: There are buses that go along Provencher that run regularly on Saturdays.
COST: I will be requesting loonie donation for Out There.
REGISTRATION?: None needed.
PUPPERS?: Because we will be stopping for an undetermined time, I would suggest only if someone else can stay outside with your dog while you get ice cream.
GUESTS: Are welcome. This is a 2SLGBTQIA+ event, so guests should be community members or allies.
