To celebrate World Photography Day, Out There Winnipeg presents its first photo walk, RAINBOW HUNTING, led by photographer April Carandang.
Participants will pick one colour of the Pride flag (or go for all of them) and challenge themselves to find and photograph it OUT THERE, in murals, painted doors, business signs, parked cars, someone's shirt, wherever it shows up. This photo walk will be half scavenger hunt, half photography workshop, and a way to finally notice how much color is out there in Winnipeg.
The theme is simple and beginner-friendly, so no technical knowledge is required. Any camera counts, phones included. Like they say, the best camera is the one you have on you.
After the walk, there is a casual gathering at The Forks Market for an informal sharing circle where participants can show a favourite shot from the walk. It will be a nice evening of creativity and connection.
