MCBETH HOUSE TO KILDONAN PARK WALK

Join us for  a relaxing stroll through the lush Red River riparian forest as we make are way from the historic McBeth House towards Kildonan Park.

This is a relaxed flat trail that winds along the Red River, under the Chief Peguis Bridge and into Kildonan Park, were we will have a nice layover at Dougie's Snack Shack.

MEETING INFO: We will gather in the parking lot of McBeth House (31 McBeth Street): the east end of Red River Rd. beginning @ 1:45pm, with the goal to hit the trail by 2pm.

PARKING:
The parking lot that we are congregating in is generous enough that spots should not be an issue.

BUS: There is now a #31 bus that turns off Main Street down Red River Road, letting of right across from our meeting point. Or you may walk the 10 minutes from Main Street.

TRAIL: This is a mixed terrain walk, with dirt, concrete and gravel. The walk to Kildonan Park is only a few kilometres, but there are several trails and sites inside the park to stretch things out. This is heavily wooded, please bring insect repellent.
Expect a walk of roughly 5km, taking around 2 hours (dependent on how long we stop for snacks) .
