EXCHANGE DISTRICT WALK & ICECREAM

The trails are a mess, but the sidewalks are fine. Join Out There for an afternoon stroll through our historic Exchange district concluding with a sweet treat.

MEETING INFO: We will meet under the giant canopy outside The Forks Market ( 1 Forks Market Rd.) beginning at 1:45pm, with a planned departure of 2pm.

PLANNED ROUTE:
We will head north past the Human Rights Museum and Blue Cross Park before turning West into the Exchange, crossing at the legendary Portage and Main.
From here, we will weave back and forth taking in as much of the historic infrastructure as we can.
As we head back south we will reenter The Forks either through Union Station, or (if open) along the river walk.
Expect a walk of 5-6km, taking between 1.5 and 2 hours.

ICE CREAM: Once we return to The Forks Market, there are two options to treat ourselves: Neon Cone, inside the Market, or Milksmith, inside the Johnston Terminal.

PARKING: There is ample timed parking at The Forks, or street parking further away, that would require some planning.

BUS: There are several buses that let off at either William Stephenson (Human Rights Museum) or on Main Street (Union Station). It is a short walk from both stops to The Market.

REGISTRATION: Not required. Simply meet us under the canopy.

COST: Loonie donations will be collected. Cost of food is additional.

GUESTS:  This is a 2SLGBTQIA+ event, guests should be community members or allies.

DOGS?: Animals are not allowed inside the buildings at The Forks (service animals the exception). If you do not intend to hang around after, you are welcome to bring your pet(s).
