ASSINIBOINE FOREST
Join Out There in this relaxing stroll as we take in the fall colours inside the sprawling Assiniboine Forest.
MEETING INFO: We will meet in the parking lot at 3000 Grant Ave. (Grant & Chalfont) in frint of the trail map starting @ 1:45pm, with a planned departure of 2:00pm.
PARKING: The parking lot where we are meeting is sizable, but if the weather is pleasant, it may be full. Additional street parking can be found along Chalfont.
BUS: The FX3 runs in both directions along Grant and lets off at Grant and Cathcart. It is a short walk over to the parking lot from there.
TRAIL: There are many trails to explore, but we will try to walk around the wetlands and go over the boardwalk as part of our journey. Expect a walk of roughly 6km, taking a little under 2 hours.
REGISTRATION?: Is not required. Simply meet us at the trail map before 2pm.
COST: Loonie donations to Out There will be collected.
GUESTS: This is a 2SLGBTQIA+ event. Guests should be community members or allies.
DOGS: Provided dogs stay on leash and can match our pace, they are welcome to join.
